We first met Laura when she was representing the Belgravia Group when they were selling the townhomes at Hartland Park. She worked from the on-site Sales Center in the midst of a lot of dirt and dust with some of the building foundations just starting to go in, so we spent a lot of time with her trying to understand how everything was going to eventually turn out. We never bought new construction before so we had lots of questions about the choice of homes being built as well as about the make-up and amenities of this future community as a whole. She walked us through everything (literally!) and was able to help us envision this exciting new development, as well as highlighting the terrific location and everything that was nearby. We've been very happy at Hartland Park, which has only gotten better with time!
A few months ago, I walked into the beautiful building on Lake Shore Drive and asked if there were any units available for rent. I then found out from a friend of mine who lives in the building that Laura handles most of the leases in the building, and that rental units do not become available very often (because no one wants to leave!) I contacted her the same day she had just spoken with a homeowner who was getting transferred out of town but did not want to sell the condo. I was the first person to see it, and immediately filled out an application to rent it . . . . What a great building -- I am going to be one of those tenants who never leave! That is, unless my landlord moves back. If that happens, I will definitely call Laura to find another unit in the building.
I met Laura a few years ago when we purchased our home in Lincoln Park, but my wife has purchased and sold several homes with her over the past 20+ years. All types of property in all price ranges, and she always gives superb service to make every transaction as stress-free and lucrative as possible.
When we decided to put our condo at 600 N. Lake Shore Drive on the market, we interviewed several agents because that's what everyone says you should do. We were very impressed with Laura's experience and knowledge of the building, and with her success in reselling units in a very tough marketplace. But we were misled by another agent who persuaded us that since Laura has most of the Resale listings in the building, her other listings would be competing with our home. What we found out is that because she represents most of the homesellers in the building, buyers and their agents all contact her for the latest information on currently available units. Our "one off" agent had very few showings. Once we changed agents and went with Laura, our condo went under contract quickly, and we learned our lesson about using the broker who others consider to be the building expert!
